Prudence Wants a Pet

Prudence desperately wants a pet but her parents keep saying no. So prudence uses her imagination to find her own pet. It's a branch. When Branch trips up her father eight times and ends up on the woodpile, she gets Twig and then Mr Round (a car tyre) and even her baby brother - but he refuses to eat grass and won't stay in his box.
