I was a component level electronics repair (ET) in the navy in the 70's. This book is written with a minimum of Math and a maximum of real world knowledge by a man "in the trenches".
While the previous reviewer seemed to dislike The writer's style (How does one ever really know someone Else's motivation?) I found it straightforward and unassuming.
This book is a TREASURE.
