Ricardo Sanchez is a ruggedly handsome police detective known for his ruthless brutality. After his partner is shot and killed, he swears to get justice for his friend's death, by any means necessary. When the only witness to the shooting is almost killed in an explosion, he takes her into his protective custody, determined to keep her safe until she can testify against his partner's murderer. Elizabeth Harmon finds herself strangely attracted to the aggressive police officer, in whose custody she winds up after witnessing a murder. Her life is suddenly in danger from a psychotic drug dealer with a taste for blood, while her heart is in danger from the merciless brute guarding her. There is an intoxicating air of danger about the temperamental detective that fascinates her, but it is his softer side which she falls head over heels for, even as they are forced to run for their lives from a lunatic and his henchmen, determined to silence them both. But will her colorful past ruin her chance at happiness with the straight-laced officer? Or will they both wind up dead first?
