Sex work:

writings by women in the sex industry

Cleiss Press, 1998 - Social Science - 369 pages
This is the landmark collection of writings that changed the way we think about sex for hire. When first published in 1987, Sex Work popularized the term “sex work” to describe the occupations of street prostitutes, exotic dancers, nude models, escorts, porn actresses, and workers in massage parlors, and in doing so changed the way we talk about sex for money. This second edition updates political, legal, and health surveys, and features, as well, a new bibliography and listings for resources and Web sites.
