Lachlan Macquarie: A BiographyLachlan Macquaire (1761-1824) married Jane Jarvis (1772-1796) in 1793. After her death, he married Elizabeth Henrietta Campbell (1788-1835) in 1807. Lachlan and Elizabeth had 2 children. He was an officer in the British army and traveled the world. He served as governor of New South Wales, Australia, 1809-1817. |
