About the author (1999)

Fumio Demura is a Black Belt Hall of Fame member who is one of the most respected weapons masters in the world. His books on sai, bo, tonfa and nunchaku are among the most popular in martial arts instructional literature. He has appeared in a number of Hollywood films--including The Island of Dr. Moreau, the Karate Kid series, Mortal Kombat, and Rising Sun--and his strenuous demonstration schedule has made him an ambassador in the world of karate.
