Cold Running Creek

During the Indian relocations, Raven, the oldest child of a fugitive band of Choctaw, becomes the mistress of LeFlore Plantation. With the American Civil War brewing, she steals a half Choctaw slave child and raises Lilly as her heir, but the ironies of war return Lilly to her previous enslavement. When Lilly seeks her own salvation, it brings freedom for three generations of Choctaw and African ancestors.
