About the Author

Dr Jenny Fleming is a Fellow with Security 21 in the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University. She is a former research fellow with the Key Centre for Ethics, Law, Justice and Governance at Griffith University, Brisbane. Jenny is currently the coordinator of a project between the ANU and the Australian Federal Police that explores the importance of community partnerships for policing in the federal capital. Jennifer Wood has a doctorate in Criminology from the University of Toronto and has taught in the areas of policing, crime prevention and trends in governance. Wood is a Research Fellow at Security 21. Jennifer is involved in the implementation of an Australian Research Council Linkage project with Victoria Police devoted to exploring, developing, and assessing models to guide the mobilisation and coordination of resources in the governance of security.
