About the author (2015)

Sandy Gingras is the award-winning author of the ''How To Live'' series of books, many of them focused on beaches, islands, and the coast, as well as an author of fiction and poetry. She has won New Jersey Council on the Arts awards for her poetry, and the ''Debut Dagger Award'' from the Crime Writer's Association for best unpublished mystery novel. She is the owner of the How To Live gift shops on Long Beach Island on the New Jersey shore, where she lives with her husband, son, and golden retriever, Quincy.
