The Effects of Foliation on Transmission from a Toroid-Coupled Tree

Preliminary tests using toroid-coupled trees as antennas for propagation of radio waves raised question as to the natural cause for the increased propagation efficiency. A two month test was conducted in the spring 1970 (27 March - 22 May) to determine what effect foliation had on the performance of a tree as an antenna. It was observed that at 3.075 MHz operating frequency that no change in the propagation occurred during the process of foliation. (Author).
