DraculaBram Stoker escribió la historia del mítico vampiro reformulando conceptos tomados del folclor del este de Europa para crear un personaje universal. Tras el filme Nosferatu, la leyenda de Drácula dio comienzo y la fama del escritor irlandés comenzó postmortem. La novela se ubica en un principio en Londres. Jonathan Harker, un joven abogado inglés, viaja por negocios a Transilvania en donde vive su cliente, el conde Drácula. Tiene un diario en el que relata, para sí mismo y para Mina, su prometida que se quedó en Londres, su viaje en tren a través de Europa. En la medida en que se acerca al castillo de su anfitrión, cierto malestar se apodera de él y todo le parece extraño y aterrador: las montaña negras y amenazantes, el aullido de los lobos, sus compañeros de viaje quienes, una vez que entienden el propósito de su venida, se muestran distantes y se persignan… |
