John Milton (9 December 1608 - 8 November 1674) was an English poet and intellectual, renowned within his lifetime and called 'the greatest English author' by William Hayley. William Blake (28 November 1757 - 12 August 1827) was an English poet, painter, and printmaker. He is now considered one of the most influential and important figures of the Romantic period
