Practical advice concerning choice of separation process is also given. Energy considerations and the role of economics in undertaking separations are discussed. Close to 60% of the material is reprinted; 30 percent is substantially revised or completely new.

About the author (1997)

DOUGLAS M. RUTHVEN, PhD, is Professor and Chair of the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Maine. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, he is the author or coauthor of three books on adsorption and adsorption separation processes, all published by Wiley.
