The first of three volumes by the author covering the rock art of the vast Kimberley region, Volume One: Mitchell Plateau Area includes a foreword by Dr Ian Crawford and a comprehensive introduction covering early descriptions of the art and brief summaries of archaeology, geology, and the importance of past sea-level changes. v. 1 contains over 600 colour images of Gwion or Bradshaw art figures form Wunambal Gaambera country. v. 2 contains over 500 colour images of Gwion Gwion and Wandjina art figures from the rivers and ranges of the West Kimberley and the Kununurra area of East Kimberley. v. 3 contains more than 400 cololur images, nearly all previously unplublished, from the north coast and the King George, Drysdale and King Edward River regions.
