It has been impossible, in the limited space allotted to this Lecture, to refer to all the authorities to which I am indebted, but I would express my obligations to the admirable work of E. G. Wakefield, Esq., "England and America," and would direct the reader to it for a developement of the principles or which the colony of South Australia is founded.

The following Works may ulso be consulted with advantage :

Col. Torrens "On the Colonization of South Australia." 8vo. Price 12s. Longman.

"The New British Province of South Australia," published by Knight. Price 3s.

"The South Australian Record," published occasionally by Mr.Gliddon, 3, Austia Friars, contains interesting intelligence respecting South Australia, as it is from time to time received.-Four numbers have been published, price 5d. each. They may be procured of any bookseller or newsman.
