About the author (1999)

Born in 1942 in Harlem, New York, Samuel R. Delany has become one of SF's most influential and discussed authors. He has won the Nebula Award four times and the Hugo twice. Since 2001 he has been Professor of English and Creative Writing at Temple University in Philadelphia.
