About the author (2015)

FRANCIS KENNY was born in Liverpool, giving him a uniquely comprehensive understanding of the city that John Lennon grew up in. He met his wife in The Cavern and has been immersed in Liverpool and Beatles culture all his life. He has undergraduate degrees in Economics and in Social Policy and an MA from Liverpool University. There, his dissertation focused upon Urban Renewal and Art. He often lectures on the topics of arts, culture and music.
