About the author (2010)

Despite the world's best efforts, Justine is tragically in love with her own country. Having chartered vast sections of it numerous times in many directions, her wonder at Australia's beauty is ceaseless. This love affair began on a New South Wales beach when she was a tiny tacker - she still returns to her favourite secret there whenever possible. For the most part Melbourne is now home and she revelled in the opportunity to rediscover her own city again for this guide, not to mention fuel her passion for beer, coffee, live music and art. This is Justine's 13th Lonely Planet title. She now devotes most of her time to improving her manners (tough ask) and working at the Australian Conservation Foundation with truly inspiring folk. Justine also wrote Destination Australia, Getting Started, Itineraries, the Culture, Food & Drink, Driving in Australia, Directory and Transport chapters.
