The Time MachineCreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Apr 26, 2018 - 76 pages H.G. Wells, or Herbert George Wells, was born in September of 1866. He is known as one of the founding fathers of science fiction with riveting novels as The Time Machine (1895), The Invisible Man (1897), and The War of the Words (1898). Although Wells liked to look into the future of society and humanity, he also created works that focused on the here and now. World War I and World War II, both of which Wells experienced first hand, shaped his later writings. He was known very well as being a pessimistic person and began feeling unoptimistic towards his fellow man. He died feeling this way after World War II ended in his hometown of London in 1946. |
