Matilda Wormwood's father thinks she's a little scab. Matilda's mother spends all afternoon playing bingo. And Matilda's headmistress Miss Trunchbull? Well, she's the worst of all. She is a big bully, who thinks all her pupils are rotten and locks them in the dreaded Chokey. As for Matilda, she's an extraordinary little girl with a magical mind - and now she's had enough. So all these grown-ups had better watch out, because Matilda is going to teach them a lesson they'll never forget. Matilda is also a phenomenally successful, award-winning London stage musical, adapted for the stage by Dennis Kelly with music by Tim Minchin. 'A true genius . . . Roald Dahl is my hero' - David Walliams Look out for new Roald Dahl apps in the App store and Google Play- including the disgusting TWIT OR MISS! inspired by the revolting Twits. User Review - Flag as inappropriate Matilda by Roald Dahl is a very loving and brilliantly written book. Matilda is born genius child, who from child hood is much more clever than the rest of her family. she loves to read but her parents are not in to the books, instead they are into looks. Matilda's father is a cheating person who makes money by repairing old, ,broken cars and Matilda's mother makes money by playing BINGO and stuff. Matilda wants to join a school but her parents don;t allow so she starts to visit a library where she reads books, novel, magazines and etc. One day finally her father admits her to a school but that school's principal Miss Trunchbull is very horrid ad cruel nearly you could compare her with an animal. Matilda is scared but when she meets her class teacher she is reliefed because her class teacher might be the most kind and sweet person on earth. Her class teacher notices Matilda's capabilities and tries to talk to her parents who are not even a little bit interested in their daughters career.
