A minor error on Kutusov, the Russian general. The book states "he helped to defeat the entire Ottoman army in Bessarabia" but that's not where the decisive battle took place. It was instead fought in Bulgaria and Romania (either side of Danube) at Rustchuk, a town now called Ruse.
Even a cursory examination of Kutusov's biography should have caught this.
I found this to be a highly informative work, not only on the conflicts themselves but on the men whose strategies served to either win them or lose them. Accurate facts, combined with fascinating reading and storytelling, makes this a work that the military historian can turn to time and time again.
