Concerning the Light that enlighteneth

every Man.

earthen vefsels, that the excellency of the power may be of God (b), and not of us; for the kingdom of God cometh not by observation, but is within us.

Cancerning Faith and Justification.

FAITH is the substance of things hoped - Hleb. for, and the evidence of things not seen (c).

Without which it is impossible to please w Yer.6. God (d) Therefore we are justified by faith, Gal. which worketh by love (e). For faith with

out works being dead, is by works made f James perfect ( . By the deeds of the law there

shall po flesh be justified (8). Nor yet by g. Rom. the works of righteousness which we have

done; but according to his mercy we are

saved, by the washing of regeneration, and 6 Tit, renewing of the Holy Ghost (1). For we

are both washed, fanctified and justified in

the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the 1 Cor. fpirit of our God (i).

the deeds of the body, we shall live (k). S Rom. For they which believe in God, must be careful to maintain good works (1). For 1 Tit. Concerning Perfection.

SIN shall not have dominion over fuch as are not under the law, but under grace (9). For there is no condemnation to those 9 Rom. that are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after 6. 14. the flesh, but after the spirit; for the law of the spirit of life, maketh free from the law of fin and death (r).
