It wasn't a merry Seder last night, but was soberly cheerful. There were 40 of us.

Monica also there; very few other English Gentiles can have been Seder guests

I am still exhilarated by the happenings of last night, an unforgettable night. I
watched Palmach break the siege of the Old City. After the Haganah Press
conference last night a party of us were officially taken to eyewitness a battle.
