I tried to get into this book but as an interested layman, I found it tedious. I imagine it would be different for people with some subject expertise or understanding but I gave it away after 50 pages. For the curious and casual reader, be prepared for a long, slow slog. This was a little more technical than Vedantam Shankar's "Hidden Brain", but then, it contained more specific information about how our automatic reactions operate in our lives. I would recommend, but suggest patience, since much of it describes psychological studies. Read full review
