Writer and photographer Nicholas Gill (Chilean Lake District, Chiloe, The Carretera Austral, and Easter Island chapters) is based in Lima, Peru and Brooklyn, New York. His work appears in publications such as Conde Nast Traveler, Islands, Forbes Traveler, World Hum, and The Columbus Dispatch. He has also authored numerous travel guides on Latin American countries. Caroline Lascom (front of book chapters, as well as Santiago, Around Santiago, La Serena & the Elqui Valley, and the Desert North chapters) has spent much of the last decade traveling through Latin America, working as a freelance travel writer.
