NOTE: These specimens are of particular interest as they are pickings from
those collected by L. Fea on his journey in Burma. They were contained in
2 bottles labelled I "Tipi di Canestrini St. Supino" & II Aecki di Birmaniae
(Viaggio Fea)". See F. Supino "Nuovi Ixodes della Birmania," Padova; also
G. Canestrini, Ann Museo Civico Genova XXXVII, p. 417-422. I gave the
Genova Museum many good specimens in exchange. The original labels give
scarcely more data than the names. I have added particulars from Neumann II
(1897) pp. 416-418 etc. The collection was sent to me by Prof. Gestro after
my visit to Genoa.

Names of places where Fea collected are given in Gestro 1904 pp. 6-8
Leonardo Fea ed i suoi Viaggi Genova: biographia R. Instituito Sordomuti.
He reached Bhamo Burma, VI.1885 and collected there for 11 months, then
the northernmost point reached by the Yrrawaddy Flotilla. He explored
the Catcin Mts., etc. Spent 1 year in Carin Mts. & returned to Genoa 1889.
