No's 3846-3852 were sent 22.VII.1932 by Dr. Charles Searle, Maragua P.0. Nanyuki, Kenya Colony, stating he had 2 cases of typhus on a farm (Maragua) among Europeans. The ticks from dogs in close contact with the cases, sleeping in their beds. Some of the cattle healthy. 18 cases of typhus among Europeans with 1 death. Typhus apparently only in game district where all kind of game abound. Note some ticks rotten. rotten evertsi had black
