The specimens listed above are in numerous vials. In addition there are the following specimens from 1305a glued on a card in the pinned specimen box - "Raised in Cambridge on ram. Gorged nymphs operated 1.VI.1915 immediately after they dropped off. Parts amputated and cast nymphal skins mounted on slides correspondingly numbered. All show perfect regeneration of legs, parts of which were cut off in nymphs Ticks 11 (left 3 leg) 12 (4 1) 13 (2 & 3 1) 14 (1 1) 15 (21) 16 (1 & 2 1) 17 (1234 left side). G.H.F. Nuttall 1.VII.1915.

Most of the collections were raised on rams in Cambridge although some portions of the life-cycle studies were reared on hedgehogs and calves.
