VI. EXISTING MODES OF DISPOSING OF ESTATES TAIL.

Disposition of estates tail in freehold lands in which

the tenant in tail has the legal, or equitable, estate

in his own right

1. Of the assurance by which the tenant in tail

may dispose of his estate

2. Extent of disposing power given to the tenant

in tail

3. Modification of the disposing power of tenant

in tail, where he is seised or entitled only

in remainder, or subject to certain prior es-

tates specified in the act

4. Protector of the settlement

(1) Who shall be the protector

(2) How the protector shall give his consent

(3) Where the protector is lunatic, convict of

treason, &c., the Lord Chancellor, or

&c., shall be the protector •
