We are reading this book as a class at my school. I find it intriguing that you would write about such a horrid time. Although, I do most quite enjoy this book. Honestly, it's one of a kind, amazing, etc. etc.
I understand the horrible things that happened in the concentration camps. I do feel sorry for those poor Jews. My question on this book is: Have you made any grammatical errors?
That is all that I would wish to say. Thank you for this written book to teach us young minds those horrible horrible things that happened.
Sincerely, random sixth grader

The book is funny but depressing in the ending

I think I liked the part where Bruno lived in Berlin because Bruno had more friends there and now, in the end, he and Shmuel died together and it was sad and some people of my friend was crying. and I did not like when my friends cry.

HISTORICAL FICTION: What's the saying? The grass is always greener? Well in Boyne's The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas we find out that's only the case for one side. This book is truly another eye opener in history where students can understand that we should be appreciative of the things we do have such as freedom and human rights.

This book is a spectacular and engaging one, defining the meanings of no boundaries and dealing with hard moves in your life. I liked this book because of how original it is and how it shows friendship and explains the completely different world in the past.

In my opinion my first thought of this book was really sad and depressing. When I read this book I totally felt was what really going on when they were in the camps as prisoners it was a horrifying thing to think about. My first saying to the boy in the striped pajamas I think he was a vey nice little shy boy that is living a traumatic experience. The other boy that lives with his father in the house he did not really know what was happening or going on. Like he said they look like farmers he did not know it was a very dangerous place to be. My second reason for this book is: what really made me upset is the ending. Read it you will be shocked and full of other emotions like I did.
