About this eBook

HBO’s hit series A GAME OF THRONES is based on George R. R. Martin’s internationally bestselling series A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE, the greatest fantasy epic of the modern age. A GAME OF THRONES is the first volume in the series.

Summers span decades. Winter can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.

As Warden of the north, Lord Eddard Stark counts it a curse when King Robert bestows on him the office of the Hand. His honour weighs him down at court where a true man does what he will, not what he must ... and a dead enemy is a thing of beauty.

The old gods have no power in the south, Stark’s family is split and there is treachery at court. Worse, the vengeance-mad heir of the deposed Dragon King has grown to maturity in exile in the Free Cities. He claims the Iron Throne.

Great books lazy writer. He takes 10 years for the 6th book (not yet published) and the year still counting. Worst, he wrote other book which serves as this prequel. Well, its totally ok to work on other projects & i know writing isnt easy thing, but its not ok if you abandon or postpone the ongoing work for too long. You can defend him all you want, but for me, he is a lazy writer. I dont know if i would live long enough to read the 7th/final book. LoL.

I've (deliberately) not seen the series, but wanted to read the books first. Going into it to begin with there is little to help you along the way - remembering names, places, events is pretty tricky and the going was a bit tough for the first third of the book. Commitment pays off, though, and I've thoroughly enjoyed the slow build up of tension punctuated by plot twists and character development.

Paid for a full book, not half of one! At least 11 pages missing from the Denearys chapter according to my fella (who downloaded from kindle instead) and it stopped mid sentence so it's obvious pages are missing! Tried re - downloading and same happened! Gave up in the end, pointless trying to read the rest, no idea what else could be missing!
