I absolutely loved the book, Matilda. Matilda was definitely my favorite character in this story. I thought the author was so creative in thinking up these awesome characters. My favorite part of the book was when Matilda found out she had magical powers. I also loved the fact that Matilda was a genius and learned to read and spell so young.

Even though she had very mean parents that did not even know she was there most of the time, Matilda learned to be independent and care for herself. All her life Matilda had wanted to go to school, and when her dream finally came true she met her school headmistress: Ms. Trunchbull, who was very mean to all the children. But in the end Matilda used her powers and made everything right. I really liked the end of the book when Matilda's family moved away and she was left to stay with her beloved teacher: Mrs. Honey. From then on Matilda lived a happy life at home and at school.
This book is a real page-turner with all sorts of twists and a happy ending. I suggest that lots of people read this book because it is simply amazing.
