This book is called Matilda and it was written by Roald Dahl. This book is fiction the genre of the book is not realistic fiction. I chose this book because I like the author.
This book is about a girl named Matilda. Matilda is a young girl but she is very inteligent. Unfortunately her parents don't see her daughters talent and are very mean to her. They prefer her younger brother, they are really nice to him even though he is no where near to being as smart as Matilda. Luckily Matilda's teacher (Miss Honey) notices Matilda's talent and helps her become even smarter. Whenever her family acts badly towards her Matilda plays jokes on them. She is very smart and her pranks are perfect. One of the teachers in the school is very bad her name is Miss Trunchbull, she is very mean to the kids and the teachers
including Miss Honey. Matilda decides to help the poor kids and the teachers.
The story was very interesting, it was fun reading all the pranks that Matilda made. The story was also funny. Overall I really liked this book and I think a lot of people should read it. This book is for kids aged 8 and up.
