it was amazing

I find this book more appealing and awesome than the very famous novel 'Norwegian wood'. The narrator in this book is intelligent in fact, a little bit odd, and deep. He has deep thoughts about many details, even small details that I have never paid attention in my normal life. The book gets more mentally sound and surreal when it comes to the end; while the narrator is coming to near his wanted sheep. The book at first sounds like a detective book , with twists and turns. However, the end of the book turns out to be 'not'.
However, there are some details that seem to be unnecessary. The whale's penis , well, it could be the inner-mind wander of the narrator. But the long rant about the history of the land.??? After a long rant, it is revealed that the Ainu youth, who contributes to the settling of the land, was also 'sheeped'.

The book is more about the life of different meanings. The Boss appeared as bad guy, who is greedy for power and money. He is totally controlled by the Sheep. However, the Rat, who wants to have a mundane life, a normal, simple life. He refuses to get 'sheeped' by the Sheep. However, I still can't get a full grasps of the meanings under the surface. Well, should have one more read ? Reading the book is like observing one's dream. The details are scattered, and not related. However, everything seems to blend in a whole.
