brilliant story. Children really loved this story in year 2 on SEA. the story gives so much more feeling and imagination. it is about a younf boy who wins a golden ticket to go on the special day of the chocolate factory. there is only 5 tickets to be won. and no-one has been the factory for a long time as it was closed when other chocolate factory spa tried to get in and take Mr Wonka's ideas, so all the workers had to leave and the gates were locker. This is the first they are to be opened since. The 5 children can take one adult. Poor charlie takes Granpa Joe, they have a real adventure which through be a nice person and passing a secret test, charlie ends up winning the grand price of the taking over the chocolate factory so Mr Wonka can retire.
Children were engaged, we used lots of the big lines to use drama, (i.e.when the children first entered the factory what they would have acted like) worked very well.
recommended for ages 7-10 years
