Matilda by Roald Dahl is a awesome book. Matilda is about a little girl called Matilda Wormwood who is a academic genius but her parents think she is useless,and her parents think her brother Mike is the true genuis and look down on their daughter. To make matters worse, the idiot headmistress, Miss Trunchbull hates her. However Matilda's teacher Miss Honey loves her and all her classmates even if she is a lot smarter than all of them. Matilda soon discovers was has a special gift and uses it to get back at her parents. Along the way the bond with her and her teacher grows stronger and the plot gets even more interesting.

The book plot is interesting, unpredictable, and Roald Dahl's imaginative story captures us once again. This delightful book is recommended for around kids age 8-11, but any age would still thoroughly enjoy this book.

Matilda is overall a fantastic read and it can teach us to keep trying, and that not all parents are supportive but we should be thankful for the things we do have that in our lives
