Just a cute thing to read. I can see why this appeals to children --- super smart kid and mean parents that get their commuppance. Haven't we all in our childhood wanted to do something to those unfair parents of ours? Of course the next moment we loved them to pieces again. But just for that second....hmmmm. And the illustrations are clever, strange though since their done in such a sketchy way but for some reason they appeal. I'm not sure which ending I liked better - scaring Trunchbull with 'words from beyond' or the very satisfying give-her-what-she-gave scene in the movie? A good quick summer read.
