I read this book for the first time when I was young, and could not put it down. Revisiting it, it was just as good. Matilda reminded me so much of me when I was little, and I so wished I could do the things that she could. Her quiet, strong, smart resourceful nature made her such an amazing character, you could not help but root for her.
