Thinking, Fast and Slow

Ironically, I think the ratings for this book have been subject to the anchoring bias.. (observing high scores inflates people's ratings)
This book is as dry as a dead dingo's donga. It's simply a description of hundreds of research studies linked together under several themes, interspersed with personal stories (which are the most interesting aspect).
The main themes of this book are behavioural economics and 'cognitive bias'. Unless you're passionate about cognitive psychology then prepare yourself for cognitive torture.
