I got this book recommended through a mailing list, so I didn't know exactly what it was about. There are several things I found that I didn't expect. First and most important, I didn't know Daniel Kahneman was such a big deal, being a psychologist and wining a prize in economics. Second, there is no talk at all about the physiology of the brain, which I was expecting, it is more about the intuitive and analytical parts of our mind but then again it's more about the *how* than the *why*.
Having said that, this book is a life changer in the sense that it will change the way you think about the way you think. At times it gets rather technical with the statistics, the economics and the psychology, (I still have trouble following one of his explanations) but it provides a great insight into the workings of our mind, backed up with the corresponding numbers. At times I felt Dr. Kahneman was cheating when posing a question, and that's his point!, at other times I couldn't get to agree with him about the meaning of the answers to his studies, and that's his point too!. From now on I've got to have an eye on my intuitive mind in case it tries to short-change me and on my analytical mind in case it gets too lazy :-)
Overall a very interesting read, although it took me a while to read. I think it's totally worth it.
