it was ok

I get it. This is a researcher looking back on meaningful points in his work and that of his contemporary. It sort of reads like Malcolm Gladwell pirated the good points some time ago. There are many since who point out these similar findings. So, yeah i get that too.

I found it plodding and research bound. The conclusions to which this alludes were not made clearly just the predicates, nor were other studies incorporated to make a significant whole. The thing is this kind of pure research where one takes given conclusions of another and creates a study that agrees or contests those findings is just awkward and not holistic enough by half to lead a reader, who is not immersed in the work, to care enough about to endure. That is what the research model is though. Reduce your conclusion to your study while Galdwell and even the infamous Jonah Lehrer write meta reports that are better, but sadly lack Kahneman's cred. I wish it were more aggressively relevant and less devoted to the nostalgia of the good old days with his former colleague. Sigh. So close...

It was presented as though new while the findings were re-wrapped, and not current. He did good work This book is not well written and does not reflect the quality nor novelty of the work back when when it was done. Too long and too late.

Nice cover though
