Thinking, Fast and Slow

There are two ways of thinking, according to Kahneman, "fast thinking" and "slow thinking." "Fast thinking" is more intuitive, which for the most part requires no efforts and barely consumes any energy. If someone asked you how much is 2X2, you will use "fast thinking" to provide an answer. "Slow thinking", on the other hand, is responsible for more complicated things, such as algebra, for instance.
"Thinking, Fast and Slow," is an accessible introduction to the life work of Kahneman. In a nutshell, it is a study on the human mind and decision making. An ambitious goal, nonetheless, it tries to achieve more than that. It attempts to help us readers in overcoming the shortcomings and biases of our decision making. I am not sure people will be able to overcome their biases because of this book, but nonetheless, it provides plenty of insights and food for thought.
