If you're looking for a book to expand your critical thinking skills by means of increasing your awareness to what factors of your respective community can influence your thinking and emotions, this is it! I've read several books by Michael Shermer detailing how people can be fooled by pattern-recognition, agenticity and a multitude of biases. Kahneman goes into painstaking detail on how these cognitive biases work and how they are triggered.

That said, I stopped short of giving this book four stars because of the endless number of examples he provides. That, in itself, isn't a bad thing at all, but the theme can get somewhat repetitive. I didn't finish reading the entire book as a result but still liked it immensely. Highly recommended read through and definitely a keeper for a resource.
